The findings indicated that majority 73% of the total expenditure was in works while 27% were Total completed supplies. From the table above for the financial year 2021-2022, in the period of January to April 2021 the Total procurement spent on works was 1,197,452,943/= while individually the total value of completed supplies/services was 425,033,135/=.

From the study it is evident that in the financial year 2021/2022 there was 91% contracts in works while only 9% of the contracts were in supplies/ services at Buikwe district local government.

The study results further show that purchase of fuel takes the largest amount of contracts value at 149,521,025 at it makes 57.3% of the total contract value for procurement followed by the expenditure on repair and servicing of the motor vehicles which has a total contract value of 30,304,000. This therefore indicates that

The Most procurement method used is Frame work for over 75% of the procurements in the organizations, direct bidding and selective bidding have also been used, at 9% east of them.

The results show that majority of the procurement contracts in Buikwe district was Frame work contracts, this was at 74% of the contracts performed by the district from the 2^nd (Second) Quarter for the period ended October – December 2021 for the FY 2021/2022 for Buikwe district local government. Other procurement methods used were direct bidding at 8.89% and selective bidding at 8.89%.
