PROJECT NAME: DIVINE INSTITUTTE FOR TEACHER TRAINING IN KAKOGE NAKASONGOLA DISTRICT
Project Background
The project will be located at Nakasongola district and the name is called DIVINE Institute for Teachers Training Kakoge. Divine Institute was initially started by Mr. Rubbi Ajwika as Teacher Training institute in Nakasongola district, it was started in January 2015 . The main work of divine institute currently is to train Nursery Institute teachers and primary Institute teachers however due to growing level of unemployment and poverty the director of Divine institute intends to open up departments for motor vehicle engineering, Hair dressing , Carpentry and joinery, Block laying and concrete practice, this will help to give many of the people who are from disadvantaged families and were not able to continue with their education a chance to gain hands on skills to enable them create their own jobs and improve on their well being. The director of Divine institute of teachers training will therefore train teachers and also give them practical knowledge on how to create jobs for themselves.
Divine Institute of Teacher Training will be located at Nakasongola district, the institute will sit in an area of 18 -20 acres of land this will help the organization be in position to construct enough class rooms to suit the total requirements of the institute.
Divine institute needs to construct 6 Blocks
1st Block will be used for training primary Institute Teachers
2nd Block will be used for Nursery Institute Teachers
3rd Block will be used for Training Hair dressers
4th Block for Training motor vehicle mechanics
5th Block will be used for teachers’ accommodation
6th will be mainly for administration activities
The future hopes of Divine institute is to increase on enrollment of the students specifically the disabled students , the deaf , Blind and other students who have other physical challenges , this is to help the students get a chance in their lives by specifically enabling them to be able to be productive , these students will be trained in areas like Hair dressing, carpentry and motor vehicle mechanics.
Divine institute currently operates on Holidays only this includes
December to February, May to June , August to September , however the project director Mr. Rubbi Ajwika , hopes that Divine Institute should be able to operate all the needed time so that the students are able to get full time Education so that they are to get the necessary knowledge that can help create their own jobs.

There is need for around 300,000$ for Divine institute to be able to construct 6 class room Block to enable it be in position to achieve the goals it has set up.

Strengths
The presence of large piece of land which will enable the institute to expand when need arises
The commitment from the stake holders to enable the institute grow
The institute is dealing in educational services which are lacking in Uganda
Weakness
The initial cost of the project is high
Currently the population of the institute is high while the space is small
The institute lacks desks to enable the students have enough seats
Short Term Plan (August 2017-August 2019)
The institute plans to initially expand on its building by constructing more classrooms to meet the requirement as per Ministry of Education standard of 40 -50 students per stream
The construction of the accommodation for the students and the class rooms is a priority to the institute to ensure that there is enough class rooms for the students.
Currently there are some class rooms the school has but they are very few, so in order to enable the school cater for increased number of students and attract more there is need for the construction of enough classrooms in the institute.
Currently some students are using classroom as dormitories and the school has put all the available resources and effort into completion of the boys’ dormitory’ where they have
Long term plan (January 2020 -2025)
The Institute plans to set up a technical section if resources allow or introduce technical drawing subjects, so as to enable training of a holistic student with life skills that are applicable everywhere in everyday life, hence the institute will now be producing job creators and not job seekers, this will reduce on the current unemployment levels, this is in line with the current government initiatives.
The Institute will then finally work on securing the whole of its property by constructing a mortar and brick wall fence all around the Institute land.
For proper management of expansion and visibility of the Institute, the management will re-align its organization by establishing coordinating centers in other regions of the country so as to enhance awareness of the Institute. The home office (the eastern office) will set strategy, manage quality and support the regional offices. This will ease advertising of the Institute in the country.
The Institute plans to continue embracing the technological revolution in computer usage to enhance its abilities to teach. The Institute will remain on the cutting edge by instituting the use of computer simulators and remote web-accessed study material.
The Institute will continue to seek new ways to provide a better and more convenient teaching environment through technology. The virtual classroom teaching is a thing of the near future and the Institute is positioning themselves to be among the those who will provide such services. The Institute plans to open a web portal account where teachers will be able to teach their students online in holidays.
The Institute also plans to introduce laptops for every student to help them be in position to catch up with the recent technologies
The Institute plans to offer housing facilities to both teaching and non-teaching staff. The priority will first be for teachers.
The Institute also plans to refine the strategy and implement it to reach the Institute’s full potential. This will include strategic checkpoints during which the Institute will assess its progress and impact and re- evaluate its strategy.
Assumption
When the school get enough funds it will be able to most of the challenges that it is facing .
The funds will be specifically used for the development of the necessary infrastructures in the school which enable the institute will provide low cost education practical education to the needy and the unprivileged youths in Uganda.
