ANALYSIS OF FINDINGS

 

This chapter presents, analyses and interprets findings according to the study objectives. It contains the analysis of the study in line with the research questions.

4.1 Findings on the analysis of the study

Fertilizer A

ANALYSIS OF FERTILIZER A, MEAN, MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM, DIAMETER, HEIGHT, WIDTH AND LENGTH OF THE LEAVES IN VARIOUS PLOTS WERE FERTILIZER C WAS APPLIED

In analysis of the fertilizer A it was discovered that the average diameter was 8.62963, the average height in the three plot of land it was 288.7037, while the average width was 28.60741 and the average length was 317.3111.

In analysis of the three different lot were fertilizer was applied it was further revealed that the minimum diameter was 5.6, height was 150.1, the width was 18.6 and the length was 231.4.

The maximum diameter was 11.7, the maximum height was 400.7, the maximum with was 34.9 and the maximum length was 461.9.

The R-squared value =0.5864 this implies that 58.64% of the changes in height are affected by the dimeter. This therefore indicates that there is a relationship between the height f the maize and dimeter as affected by the fertilizer A. The figure further shows that an increase in height by one meter would lead on average increase in diameter of 3.49163. if the height is zero the average diameter will be 0.01777968.

In finding out the relationship between height and diameter of the maize plant in fertilizer A. the person correlation analysis was run and it was discovered that there was a strong positive relationship between dimeter and height and Pearson correlation was at 0.75658.

The analysis on the control plot for fertilizer A, it has been revealed that the mean value for diameter for plot four (4), (control pot) was 8.333333, while the height for plot f (four), was 269.0444 and the width was 26.33333 and the length was 311.8556.

The R-squared value =0.3621 this implies that 36.21% of the changes in height are affected by the dimeter. This therefore indicates that there is a poor relationship between the height of the maize and dimeter. The figure further shows that an increase in height by one meter would lead on average increase in diameter of 3.7859. if the height is zero the average diameter will be 0.0169022.

In finding out the relationship between height and diameter of the maize plant in plot four (Control). the person correlation analysis was run and it was discovered that there was a strong positive relationship between dimeter and height and Pearson correlation was at 0.6018.

 

FERTILIZER B

ANALYSIS OF FERTILIZER B, MEAN, MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM, DIAMETER, HEIGHT, WIDTH AND LENGTH OF THE LEAVES IN VARIOUS PLOTS WERE FERTILIZER C WAS APPLIED

In analysis of the fertilizer B, using a mean of 41.51852 leaves it was discovered that the average diameter was 8.555556, the average height in the three plots of land after using fertilizer B was 294.8426, while the average width was 28.47407 and the average length was 320.1111.

In analysis of the three different plots were fertilizer B was applied it was further revealed that the minimum diameter was 5.6, height was 211.3, the width was 22.1 and the length was 266.8

The maximum diameter was 10.8, the maximum height was 417, the maximum width was 34.9 and the maximum length was 461.9.

The R-squared value =0.3321 this implies that 33.21% of the changes in height are affected by the dimeter. This therefore indicates that there is a poor relationship between the height of the maize and dimeter when the fertilizer B is applied. The figure further shows that an increase in height by one meter would lead on average increase in diameter of 4.61887. if the height is zero the average diameter will be 0.033518.

In finding out the relationship between height and diameter of the maize plant in plots were fertilizer B was applied. the person correlation analysis was run and it was discovered that there was a strong positive relationship between dimeter and height and the coefficient of Pearson correlation was at 0.5763.

ANALYSIS OF PLOT 8 CONTROL FOR REPLICATE 2

In analysis of the plot 8 control for replicate 2, using a mean value of 43.22222 leaves it was discovered that the average diameter was 9.122222, the average height in the three plot of land it was 321.1556, while the average width was 31.38889 and the average length was 330.0667.

In analysis of the plot 8 control for replicate 2 it was further revealed that the minimum diameter was 7.4, height was 251, the width was 26.8 and the length was 287.6.

The maximum diameter was 11.4, the maximum height was 376.8, the maximum width was 34.7 and the maximum length was 359.1.

In finding out the relationship between height and diameter of the maize plant in plot 8 control for replicate 2 was applied. the person correlation analysis was run and it was discovered that there was a strong positive relationship between dimeter and height and the coefficient of Pearson correlation was at 0.9441.

ANALYSIS ON THE REGRESSION ANALYSIS OF PLOT 8 CONTROL FOR REPLICATE 2 ON HEIGHT AGAINST DIAMETER

The R-squared value =0.8913 this implies that 89.13% of the changes in height are affected by the dimeter. This therefore indicates that there is a poor relationship between the height of the maize and dimeter when the plot 8 control for replicate is applied. The figure further shows that an increase in height by one meter would lead on average increase in diameter of 0.0576561. if the height is zero the average diameter will be 0.0282248.

In analysis of the fertilizer C it was discovered that the average diameter was 9.1, the average height in the three plot of land it was 316.2463, while the average width was 30.62593 and the average length was 326.7333.

In analysis of the three different lot were fertilizer C was applied it was further revealed that the minimum diameter was 7.4, minimum height when Fertilizer C was applied was 211.3, the width was 23.9 and the minimum length for plots were Fertilizer C was applied 259.9.

The maximum diameter was 11.5, the maximum height was 433.6, the maximum width was 38.7 and the maximum length was 375.

ANALYSIS ON THE REGRESSION ANALYSIS OF FERTILIZER B ON HEIGHT AGAINST DIAMETER

The R-squared value =0.39701 this implies that 39.7% of the changes in height are affected by the dimeter. This therefore indicates that there is a poor relationship between the height of the maize and dimeter when the fertilizer C is applied. The figure further shows that an increase in height by one meter would lead on average increase in diameter of 4.904155. if the height is zero the average diameter will be 0.0132676.

In finding out the relationship between height and diameter of the maize plant in plots were fertilizer C was applied. the person correlation analysis was run and it was discovered that there was a strong positive relationship between dimeter and height and the coefficient of Pearson correlation was at 0.6301.

Analysis of the control plot for Fertilizer C (Plot 12)

In analysis of the plot 12 control for replicate 3, using a mean value of 43.55556 leaves it was discovered that the average diameter was 8.422222, the average height in the three plot of land it was 319.6111, while the average width was 28.7 and the average length was 314.1444

In analysis of the plot 12 control for replicate 3 it was further revealed that the minimum diameter was 6.7, height was 246.8, the width was 24.4 and the length was 254.3

The table results further indicates that the diameter of the leaves in fertilizer B, was the smallest at 8.555556, the diameter of leaves at fertilizer A was the second smallest at 8.62963 and the dimeter at fertilizer C was the biggest at 9.1.

The results show that the average height of the leaves after using fertilizer A was 288.7037 indicating that fertilizer A had the lowest mean value of the height of leaves, while fertilizer B had the mean value of 294.8426 and the fertilizer C has the mean value of 316.2463, making it the highest mean value of the leaves.

 

 

ANALYSIS OF THE WIDTH OF THE LEAVES USING FERTILIZER B, FERTILIZER B, FERTILIZER C.

The findings indicate that the mean value for the width of the leaves in plots were the fertilizer A was applied 28.60741, while width for fertilizer B was 28.47407 and width for fertilizer B was 30.62593.

ANALYSIS OF THE LENGTH OF THE LEAVES USING FERTILIZER B, FERTILIZER B, FERTILIZER C.

In finding out the mean value for the leaves it has been discovered that length for the leaves for fertilizer A was the lowest at 317.3111, the length for the leaves with fertilizer B was 320.1111 and the leaves for plots of fertilizer C was the highest at 326.7333.

 

 

Comparative analysis of the diameter of plots in different fertilizer applications

The figure above shows that the plots which the farmers applied fertilizer c application experienced a slightly higher growth of dimension than other fertilizers, while all the fertilizers did not have a constant growth of dimeter as there was a ziz zag growth in diameter, it has also been observed that the growth of fertilizer A diameter was lower than Fertilizer B.

Comparative analysis of the Height of leaves of different plots in different fertilizer applications

 

The figures above show that the Height leavers in plots were Fertilizer C was applied outperformed other leaves in height it has more tall leaves than the others. The leaves also in plots were fertilizer A was applied had the shortest height.

According to the findings of the study it is indicated that the width of the leaves was fertilizer C was applied was slightly higher than other fertilizers while fertilizer A and fertilizer B had some how closer with size.
